Nissan R35 GTR Front Mounted Intercooler Installation

1. Position the car ideally on a 2 post lift, or jack it up using the middle jacking point under the engine and support on axle stands at the jacking points on the sills. Removing both front road wheels and arch liners may make installation easier but it’s not necessary.
2. Remove the 8 push in clips between the slam panel and the bumper and remove the trim from the car.
3. Pop the side repeaters out of the ends of the bumper by inserting a screwdriver behind them and levering out until the metal tab is released, then twist the bulb holder to remove the repeater.
4. Remove the 4 push in clips holding the bottom edge of the arch liner to the bumper, then pull back the edge of the liner from the bumper and undo the single 10mm bolt.
5. With the arch liner pulled out of the way, you will be able to easier access the other bolts holding the bumper to the wing. We found it easiest to use a long extension on a 3/8” drive to get onto the bolt.
6. Remove the rubber bungs along the front edge of the bumper (10), and the attached undertray (4 at the front, 3 at the rear). You’ll notice under the rubber that there is a small slot to enable you to use a small screwdriver to prise them out.
7. Remove the 10mm bolt under each bung. You’ll notice that the three bolts at the front of the attached undertray are 12mm, leave these until last. Support the weight of the undertray and remove the 12mm bolts then pull the undertray forwards to release it from the locating lugs at the back and remove it from the car.

Nissan Esflow Sports Coupe Concept is the Love Child of a Leaf and a 370Z

The Electric Zero Emission Sports car is not a new idea. There have been many concepts at many motor shows that have been loosely based on this concept. Although very few are designed featuring a tested and efficient drivetrain that's all ready in a production car. This is where the Esflow concept is unique.

The Esflow makes use of the same EV technology found on Nissan's first Zero Emission production vehicle, the all-electric Leaf. The concept behind the....concept is that driving efficiently and environmentally should be entertaining as well. The car aims to be the driving enthusiasts choice by blending electric power, dramatic styling and sporting qualities.

The Esflow features two electric motors that lay over the rear axle and a 24 kWh battery pack that currently resides in the leaf. It is also has a two-seat layout much like the 370z. The combination of rear wheel drive and weight saving from having no rear seats propel the ESFLOW from 0 to 60 mph in under five seconds and improves the distance before recharge by about 50%, a significant improvement over the Leaf. That gives you 150 miles to put it through its paces.

The design incorporates a wrap around windscreen and a high belt line. The car features a unique body structure that's lighter and stronger and allows for no A pillars and a cockpit that a fighter pilot would find familiar.

According to Nissan the Esflow is suited for a tech savvy, professional guy. All considered the Esflow is a brilliant example of what could be the electric car driving enthusiasts actually might like to drive. It is to be seen if Nissan will produce it, but we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Nissan Qashqai Surpasses 1 Million Sales Milestone

Nissan's well-received Qashqai model has just passed the 1,000,000 sales mark after four years in production. The compact crossover model, which is also known as the Dualis in Japan and Australia and other markets, was designed and engineered in Britain. Introduced in 2007, Nissan expanded the crossover's range with the presentation of the seven-seater, long-wheelbase version called the Qashqai+2 in 2008, while the entire series received an update in March 2010 with a refreshed design and powertrain refinements.

The Qashqai is currently manufactured in Nissan's Sunderland factory in the UK, the Kyushu factory in Japan, and in Dongfeng Nissan’s Huadu Plant and Zhengzhou Nissan’s No. 2 Plant in China. Britain is by far the largest producer of the Qashqai, with more than 800,000 of the 1,000,000 being made in Sunderland.

As far as sales are concerned, Europe leads the way with a total of 759,370 units, 111,088 of which are from the UK, followed by Italy with 103,647 units.

"Qashqai is clearly the pioneer when it comes to ‘Compact Crossovers’, setting the trend that others in the industry follow," said Guillaume Masurel, Nissan's Global Chief Marketing Manager for Qashqai. "Its balance of key SUV attributes like robust design, roomy interior and higher driving position combined with the benefits of a hatchback such as great fuel economy, compactness and driving dynamics, resonates well with customers around the world."
